2024 Spring Guoyoulin Old Tree White Tea

Description We were lucky to source 250g of this super exclusive deep forest White tea. Guoyoulin is a protected forest area in Yiwu that only allows a small amount of material to be harvested each year by local farmers.  All the trees in Guoyoulin are effectively growing wild. Material here is 100% Guoyoulin old tree some Gushu.  Off the rinse you’ll receive a uniquely greenish aroma followed by sweet red berries. The flavour also carries this signature sparky green note and it’s not subtle. A subtle berry aftertaste can be noticed. I’ve never experienced a White tea with this character before. Similar to this Whites Sheng and Black counterparts it has a shouty nature (in more ways than one. There’s pushy mouth pucker, a satisfying sour bite and an energetic chi that builds slowly.
